We just love Tuscany!

Day 1 - October 1, 2021

We flew to Italy via SFO – Munich - Florence
Day 2 - October 2, 2021

Arrive in Florence in the morning
-
Stay at cool hotel, Grand Hotel Cavour Florence, with painted ceilings
-
Spend time walking around Florence, mainly near the hotel
-
Rooftop terrace at sunset, overlooking the Duomo
-
Nice dinner
-
Late night drink on rooftop terrace
Day 3 - October 3, 2021 - Drive Florence to Montefollonico SI, Italy
-
Perfect coffee and breakfast in Florence in view of the Duomo - I can't even...
-
Go to airport and get car
-
Drive to Monteffollonico, the walled city. Just outside these walls is where the La Chiusa Hotel is, and where the cook in Tuscany experience takes place, and springboards from.

Check in and order a bottle of wine and sit in front of hotel taking it all in

Work a little

Day 5 - October 5, 2021 - Cook in Tuscany

Went for a walk through the olive orchard and up to Montefollonico, just for the exercise – really enjoyable

Departure to cooking class with Antonella and Ada at Agritourismo Belagaggio
-
Lasagna noodles and lasagna
-
Stuffed zucchini flowers and fried zucchini slices
-
A creamy vegetable soup that had no cream but you’d swear it did
-
Crazy good dessert with creamy filling
-
Lunch on the terrace

Back to La Chiusa for a much-needed nap.

Departure to Bagno Vignoni and Pienza

Stop at Bagno Vignoni - the Roman baths

Stop at a couple of iconic photo opportunities
