Week 3 - 8/1/2016

Watching flowers closely
Finished our first sampling event (July 31 - Aug 2), with help of brought in the IAR crew of Ed, Marce, Meguil, and Franci
Decided that the Yellow Chair restaurant (Petiscos E Cia) was a good place to feed a crowd
Everyone stayed for the next event - Site 2 - Aug 6, so had some beach days

Scott and IAR crew returned for flowering event
Brian return (flight delay), Brenda decided to stay home for a couple of weeks
Sampling Site 1 - 8/19 - Flower sampling foiled by rain - continued effort to sample, but futile
Cookout on 8/20
IAR crew returned home to await next event

Scott and I spent this week diligently watching coffee flowers at both sites after a rain event. Lots of time on the road!
Some beach time and bike riding, although BEL was still in the US :(
We organized our work room with some shelves...should have done this on day 1!!! But buying bricks and lumber from a Portuguese only hardware store was a challenge...but we even got them to cut our lumbar for us. Our directions were to cut the boards as long as would fit in our car.
Called in the IAR crew for a double sampling - Marce, Migue, Franci, and Esteban
Sampled Site 1 on 8/26 and Site 2 on 8/27 - that was lucky...sampling both on the same day would have been challenging, although we had a plan
